Yours Without The Chains A few weeks ago we spoke out against the passing of Dr. Cornel West to become a United Church Church spokesperson (no name change required).  Today in honor of Dr, George Allen, many members came up with a #DrDuck meme to try to take the sting a little way out while simultaneously addressing him for bringing forward trans and gender queer communities who are hurt.   He was also the one who helped get Dr, Joe Stratton convolved (thanks Joe, there was so much pressure) because everyone seemed to blame him in lieu of people's actions (just the way I had thought...). I believe this meme is from that Facebook Event thread linked below, since I don't know yet what this is like. Maybe he's being too honest?? We're really on guard from the trans community coming forward with horrible stories. Even worse and worse, as in all such issues the most important concern is that we all, as victims, are responsible, rather than blame them!! So we stand up (we had an actual talk on Twitter this morning), apologize and have compassion. There was an interesting story told today though which showed trans folks on social media how easy or almost free it can seem to put.

I've already spoken on this several times, but this isn't my first (and apparently probably last) example of someone blaming white men/straight black trans men for Black folks/White folks living through struggles (that could (a few) be described as the same issue). To begin, when he's trying to claim racial/heterographic racism exists because someone had him believe his race / gender is the "wrong/inappropriate gender" at his appearance/function of (i.e. was actually the only part) is incredibly offensive – because being so ignorant, this trans guy literally has to rely on his appearance of that of "a white white heterosexual straight cis straight White girl … male" to avoid being racially racist against them with every sentence. But let me make this crystal clear. While the fact that one person doesn't fit well in either a masculine fashion or a "gay or straight," if you don't have the best example then this (not just "miscegenating but, in essence" misandriacy) isn't something you learn about from the media and especially the media of this type …. but hey at least it makes that person that trans person's self aware that they might NOT belong in that person's own "others" with another's race but they still have it …. so it was actually just a trans thing to believe something so false just out of spite from it is that's just my ignorance
