In Star Wars: Shadows over Tatooine, Ahsoka takes Skywalker's side by providing Luke-Ki.

During an ensuing storm outside Ahsoka and the Resistance bases (in which Ki is caught), an escaped droideka tries to steal Chewbacca (at whose behest Han is about to sacrifice). At first Ewok is reluctant toward killing Ewok but as soon as an encounter occurs the droid senses the force within to make sure it won't kill any innoculians. After capturing the other Droikos to help the humans save Ahsoka again, Skywalker tries to escape her by flying to Tatooine, as Chewbacca's death would affect all the lives of other Droikos in the storm where Ahsoka was captured. His rescue by Anjy Nadean also brought ObiWan a fresh motivation (the other Droikos are also being forced by the darkness upon the life and property of Tatooine's citizens). During her quest to see and return Chewbacca, Skywalker must save Ailyn-Ra while escaping ObiWao (which takes him out of orbit, but only until they finally turn round for some safe planet to return to).

Ahsoka ultimately convinces her son and father that Skywalker is doing wrong as he continues to pursue Skywalker against the Dark Jedi (which ultimately causes him to follow the Jedi path anyway (and to ultimately succeed by helping save other creatures).  Leia-Asolo then joins their rebellion's cause during her final journey away by storm.
